As the economy improves, businesses are spending more on corporate gifts (up to 27.4% from 20.6%) and giving them on more occasions (up nearly 37%) comparing 2016 data to 2015*. We predict 2017 will continue that trend, and support the growth of higher value gifts (though we believe companies are being a bit more discriminating about who receives them).
BIC Graphic NA has identified five key trends for the 2017 gift giving season:
Luggage – Offer your best clients something they can carry around daily, or use whenever they need to hit the road. Stylish, high-function luggage (like the KAPSTON™ Pierce 19″ Foldable Carry-On) are a crowd-pleaser in a variety of industries.
Barware – Don’t just offer drinkware, offer them a way to carry around their favorite bottles. In addition to wine bottle coolers, Champagne carriers like the KOOZIE® Champagne Bottle Kooler are ideal gifts for the holidays (just be sure to include a bottle of good bubbly!)
Tech Accessories – These items continue to rule as corporate gifts. Powerbanks, portable Bluetooth speakers and over ear headphones are really popular and appreciated by a variety of audiences. Handy, lower pricepoint items like Bluetooth(R) Earbuds in Carabiner Case are also popular.
Health/Wellness – Be thoughtful and show them you care. Portable sound spas, massagers (like the HoMedics(R) Ribbit Portable Massager) and spa kits are all unique ideas that go home with the recipient – sure to be appreciated.
Personalization – This trend keeps going strong in a variety of categories. From calendars/planners to awards to drinkware – putting someone’s name on the item adds a special touch they will always appreciate.
