Inside Sales Account Manager – Clearwater, FL

Today we honor Hector Santiago, Inside Sales Account Manager, for his team-focused attitude and constantly going the extra mile for both his co-workers and customers.

This November will be Hector’s 20th year with BIC Graphic NA. He worked in the Art Room for most of that time, but transitioned to Sales 4-1/2 years ago as an Inside Sales Account Manager. His day-to-day consists of providing quotes and assisting distributors with ideas on projects and campaigns. This includes item selection, sampling and providing virtuals. He enjoys working closely with his teammates in Field Sales and in Customer Relations.

Every day Hector strives to help distributors grow their business and build their relationship with BGNA. As a former business owner, Hector always puts himself in his clients’ shoes in order to provide them with the best service. His favorite item is the #Z4 BIC®+ Z4 Pen; it is his go-to pen while in the office.

Outside of work, Hector is an artist. He began drawing when he was a little kid and has concentrated his craft in acrylic painting, but more recently switched to oils. Occasionally you will find Hector selling his work at arts & craft shows.

Fun Fact! Over the years Hector worked as a bouncer as a side job. One evening he was working in the VIP area of a club where Hip Hop Mega Star Drake threw a party He worked with Drake’s bodyguards on who to let in and kick out of the VIP Room. While he had to kick out quite a few people, he did let in baseball players from the Tampa Bay Rays (including current Boston Red Sox Ace, David Price) and Michael Jordan’s son. At the end of the night Hector helped make a human wall to protect Drake from getting mobbed as he ran to his tour bus.

Thank you Hector, for your extra efforts and for being a valuable member of our Sales Team!
