BIC Graphic NA Hero: Keith Watson

Keith Watson, Operations Master Trainer – St. Petersburg, FL

Today we are honoring Keith as BIC Graphic NA Hero because of his passion for training new employees and dedication to giving every new hire a positive first experience with the company.

Keith started at BIC Graphic NA in October 1997 and has worked in Building 2 (in St. Petersburg) since day one. He has held various positions throughout production including: assembly, multi-color print, facilitator, utility relief print/assembler, and his current role of Master Trainer.

Keith’s day-to-day at BIC Graphic NA showcases his passion for training new employees from the moment he introduces them to the newly updated Training Program. He gets a lot of satisfaction from helping people develop into valuable full-time employees and worked hard to create training materials and processes for all of Clearwater manufacturing. Keith says his days fly by because he enjoys the fast-paced, never-the-same nature of the business.

Recently, Keith has been instrumental in making the drinkware transition from Red Wing to Clearwater as smooth as possible. After with traveling to Minnesota to learn about Koozie® imprinting, he used that knowledge to help set up the Clearwater facility for success by helping with department layout, process development, training and coaching of operators.

Outside of work, Keith plays guitar and enjoys woodworking. He also has a small print shop in his garage where he prints signs, t-shirts, magnets and whatever else he can get his hands on. One of Keith’s favorite fun items is the Koozie® Color Changing Can/Bottle Kooler.

Keith’s passion for music has also intertwined with the skills he has acquired over his time in the promotional products industry. He handles all the marketing, social media, and promotional products for a band he started with his buddies. Since forming the band, they have played nearly two dozen shows and will be playing a big show for the City of Dunedin on May 17th where they will be launching t-shirts printed by Keith into the crowd using the t-shirt cannon he built with his buddy’s help.

Thank you Keith for your passion and hard work in making our training processes best-in-class!
